Praying in Church
Alongside our regular services, everyone is warmly invited to come into church during the week to pray. This is a chance to pause, reflect, and bring your prayers to God — whether you come with words, silence, gratitude, or questions.
Throughout the year we have dedicated prayer stations set up around the church. These offer gentle, creative ways to pray, helping people of all ages to engage with prayer.
Learning to Pray: The Lord’s Prayer
If you are new to prayer, or unsure where to begin, the Lord’s Prayer is a wonderful place to start. Given to us by Jesus himself, it teaches us how to pray — centering our lives on God, trusting Him for our daily needs, seeking forgiveness, and asking for strength and guidance.
When we pray the Lord’s Prayer, we join Christians across the world and throughout history, using the words Jesus taught to draw closer to God and align our hearts with Him.
Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. Forgive us our sins as we forgive those who sin against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. For the kingdom, the power, and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen. [Matthew 6:9-13 NIV].

An Invitation
Whether you are exploring prayer for the first time, returning to it after a break, or seeking to deepen an existing prayer life, you are warmly invited to pray — on your own, in church, or as part of our shared worship. You are also encouraged to ask others to pray with you or for you.
Candle Station
We also have a candle station so you can light a candle for yourself or a loved one.
